QQC #3

"This was the suggestion that the Earth is not quite round. According to Newton's theory, the centrifugal force of the Earth's spin should result in a slight flattening at the poles and a bulging at the equator, which would make the planet slightly obsolete."

I think that it's weird that Newton has found so much evidence about the Earth not being round but it is. The question I have about this quote is what evidence is his research based off of? Because if there is evidence to prove his theory, then how come it is false?

  1. That is a good point, it seems like there would be so much evidence in favor of the Earth being round since it's a true fact. you bring up a good point.
